Passion is people. People who love what they do and take your enjoyment personally. Passion is what to expect from the people who take your order and the people who craft your meal.

About Us | Lolacion's Inc.

The family of Lola (Grandma) Cion enjoy getting together at any opportune time and feast on our traditional cooking. Our great grandma Cion, as do my grandparents on my mother’s side, cook extremely well. These are the people I grew up with and from whom I learned the true flavors of the Philippines. We brought our taste for good cooking with us when we migrated to the United States in the 1980’s. In May of 1995 we opened up a fast food carry out in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois. We named it Lolacion’s House of Egg Rolls and Noodles. Our goal was and is to share the good food and the legacy of our late Lola Cion. The chefs were my parents and grandparents who are especially good in the traditional Northern Philippines (Ilocandia) way of cooking.

The recipes included noodles (pansit in Filipino) such as Bijon (white noodles) and Canton (yellow noodles) sauteed with fresh vegetables, egg rolls and finger rolls (lumpiang Shang-hai) served with our tasty sauces; Garlic, Peanut, Mandarin Orange, Pineapple and Chili. Barbequed meat on a stick or meat kebabs made of pork, beef or chicken wings marinated with Lolacion’s BBQ marinade is loved by everyone. Fried rice was also a part of the recipe. Customers have requested that we make our sauces and marinades available at local markets and groceries. We are committed and wish to share our products with all our customers. With a lot of effort, we passed the stringent requirements set by the FDA and in 1996 started producing our marinades and sauces. Lolacion’s products are now available for sale at local groceries in Illinois and Wisconsin. People are happy to know our products are just a store away.
